According to ESPN.com's Baxter Holmes and Marc Stein, Lakers rookie D'Angelo Russell is not in good standings with his teammates. On Tuesday, a video of D'Angelo recording a conversation between himself and teammate Nick Young surfaced on the Internet. In the video, Russell is asking Young questions about being with women other than his fiancée, rapper Iggy Azalea.
Iggy took to Twitter to address the video:
"Right now, [The Lakers] are handling it by isolating him," a source told Holmes and Stein.
In sports, teammates are family and the locker room is your home. Road trips help build bonds and relationships that are hard to break. On or off the court, you're supposed to always look out for your teammate and keep them out of harm's way. It's unclear how this video surfaced but some people will argue that Russell's questions to Young imply ill-intent. Although it may have been a prank gone wrong, Russell will have a hard time gaining trust from players in any locker room he steps foot in from here on out.

Is it too early to call this one a classic? Kendrick Lamar hit us with another great album last week (March 4th). The album consisted of tracks that didn't make the cut for his 2015 album, To Pimp a Butterfly. With no marketing at all I think that it's safe to say that Kendrick is satisfied with the results. Consider this album a side B to To Pimp a Butterfly, with tracks consisting of the same racially motivated themes. As usual Kendrick never lacks substance and consistently hits us with BARS along with his unique flow.
I see this album as a teaser for what Kendrick is currently working on. This is Kendrick's way of keeping the rap game on it's heels and there's no better way to do it than to put out quality music. The album consists of the social and cultural motivated music we are used to from Kendrick, yet he always finds a way to address different issues and in a way he has never done before. Kendrick definitely caught my attention with this one and only time will tell what King Kendrick is able to shake up the game with next.
The album is on sale now or can be streamed using Apple music, Tidal or Spotify. Make sure to take a listen.
